Of missed edge and controversial catch: Controversial moments from Mumbai-Chennai IPL game

There have been plenty of controversial moments at this season’s Indian Premier League. Friday night was no different.

During Mumbai Indians 46-run win over hosts Chennai Super Kings, a couple of contentious moments attracted many an eye.

On the last ball of the sixth over being bowled by Chennai’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, Mumbai batsman Evin Lewis nicked one back to wicketkeeper Ambati Rayudu.

And guess what? Nobody… absolutely nobody managed to notice that (barring Lewis, of course).

That was not it. In the 12th over of Chennai’s batting, opener Murali Vijay cut one straight to point fielder Suryakumar Yadav off Jasprit Bumrah.

Although Yadav claimed he took it cleanly, replays showed the balls perhaps took a bounce millimeters before being collected.

No wonder, the Chennai dug-out couldn’t hold back their disappointment after the decision was ruled in favour of the fielding side.
