The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League may be over, but the controversial moments are still being discussed.

Of all, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni’s run-out against Mumbai Indians in the final was perhaps the most debatable decision, with many believing he was in, while as many backed the third umpire’s call.

NZ cricketer Jimmy Neesham took to his official Twitter handle to share a picture of the moment, and wrote: “I love how passionate some fans are about our sport. I have huge respect for MS but how anyone could see the below photo and say it’s not out truly astounds me.”

But fans weren’t taking it as they criticized the all-rounder for his opinion, forcing him to take off the tweet.

Neesham later clarified, saying: “I’ve deleted my tweet about MS Dhoni’s runout, not because I’ve changed my mind, but because: 1. I’m sick of seeing the same dumb comments in my feed 200 times a day. 2. I just don’t actually care. Please don’t bother tweeting me about it again. Have a good day everyone.”

Dhoni was run out at a crucial juncture during Chennai’s chase as they eventually fell short by one run against Mumbai in the title clash.
