Multan Sultans is the newborn franchise team in pakistan Super League which used to represent Multan in league cricket. But their entrance in PSL was very amazing. They won consecutive two matches in the league competition at the beginning but stumbled in 3rd match. The 3rd match was against Islamabad United where Multan faced their first defeat. Later, in 4th match they were about to play against the most successful team in the season of PSL. The match would be contesting but due to rain, it was abandoned. Now, they played their 5th match against Quetta Gladiators. In the match, Multan Sultans won by 9 wickets against Quetta Gladiators.

So, in the season which is also the very first season of Multan Sultans in PSL, they have already played five matches and after that they are standing on the 2nd position on the point table. As a newbie team, they have done a great job out there.

On the other hand, their last match opponent Quetta Gladiators can be regarded as one of the most successful and experienced team where they played final all two seasons earlier though failed to win the title. In the ongoing season of PSL, they are also in considerably good form. They played five matches and won twice times so far. So, they are in 4th position on the point table.

The last match between Gladiators and Sultans was the 13th match which was located in 3rd March, 2018 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. It was the day/ night competition where Multan Sultans won the toss and decided to bowl first. So, Quetta Gladiators came to bat first. In front of the destructive bowling spell of Sultans, their players did not get chance much but got packet in 15.4 overs. Sarfraz Ahmed scored highest 30 runs in 33 balls. Sohail Tanvir and Imran Tahir both two three wickets each where Tahir made a hat trick which made him the 3rd bowler in PSL to get hat trick. So, Gladiators finished their inning scoring 102 runs only.

Later, Multan Sultans came to chase the 102 runs target. They lost only 1 wicket and in 16.4 overs, they reached the destination. Kumar Sangakkara scored highest 51 runs unbeaten for the team Sultans. Hasan Khan took the one wicket for Gladiators. Sohail Tanvir received the player of the match award later.

Multan Sultans will play their next match against Peshawar Zalmi in 6th March, 2018 where Quetta Gladiators will face the same Multan Sultans in their upcoming match.
