KKR won last group stage match

Kolkata Knight Riders is keeping their hope alive to go the playoff level in the season of Indian Premier League 2018. KKR tested the IPL title earlier more than once and that makes them as one of the most successful, popular and experienced franchise team in the tournament. Earlier, they started the ongoing season of IPL well enough but in the middle of the tournament, they faced some defeats. So, they were in under pressure. But finally they did finish their group stage competition well. KKR won last group stage match in IPL 2018. The last match was against the most balanced team in the tournament this season Sunrisers Hyderabad. Against SRH, Kolkata Knight Riders did take a proper revenge.

KKR won last group stage match

Kolkata Knight Riders is holding the 3rd position on IPL point table now after winning the last match in group level. Though, their opponent Sunrisers Hyderabad faced defeat in their last match but still holding the top position on the point table. By playing 14 matches in group stage, SRH won highest nine times so far. On the other side, KKR won eight matches in group by playing same number of matches. So, KKR still has a hope to move to the playoff round.

Kolkata Knight Riders totally faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing tournament twice times so far. The matches between them finished with an even. In the first match which was hosted at the home venue of KKR, the guest team SRH won the match by five wickets. In return leg which was hosted at the home venue of SRH, KKR took a revenge and won the match by same five wickets.

The match between KKR and SRH was the 54th match of the ongoing season of IPL which was executed in 19th May, 2018 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

In the match, local team Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Dhawan and Goswami made a good start for the local team. Openers added 79 runs to the scoreboard. Dhawan made a half century and Goswami scored 35 runs. Besides, Williamson scored 36 runs and Pandey scored 25 runs so far. Middle orders did not do much better and in exchange for nine wickets SRH scored 172 runs in selected 20 overs. Prasidh Krishna took four wickets highest for KKR in the match.

Later, in exchange for five wickets KKR reached the destination by playing 19.4 overs. Lynn scored highest 55 runs where Uthappa scored 45 runs for KKR.
