Team Bangladesh may not start as the favourites in the upcoming home series against India, but veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan feels that it is not “impossible” to bombshell the touring giants.

India are scheduled to feature in a one-off Test match, before turning up for a 3-match One Day International (ODI) series next month.

For Shakib, it would be “tough” but certainly an attainable objective to complete a successful clean sweep of the 2-time World Champions.

“It is not impossible for us to claim a 3-0 in ODI series against India but it would be a really tough job,” said Shakib, as quoted by bdcricteam.

“Yes, it is true that they are much stronger side and they possess greater ability but we will try,” he continued further.

Bangladesh’s recent success over Pakistan and home conditions further act as a catalyst to Shakib’s hopes.

“We will definitely find some advantages playing in our home ground. And we have fresh memories of the last series.”

The bilateral series is scheduled to kick-start from June 10.
