England Appoint Trevor Bayliss as New Coach
Barring their recent come-from-a-behind win over New Zealand, Team England have appeared tarnished. Therefore, the top priority for them was to get a new coach for the team. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had been on a hunt for a coach who could turn things around. And it seems that they have finally figured out one of the best finds.
Trevor Bayliss, the 53-year-old former Sri Lanka coach, has been donned the responsibility of coaching Team England.
England have arguably undergoing a rough patch, highlighted by their untimely egress from the World Cup 2015. Bayliss could, thus, groove the Alastair Cook-led Test side and Eoin Morgan-led limited overs team, and reposition their success to the crest.
Bayliss had successfully coached Team Sri Lanka from 2007-11. He certainly has global exposure and best records as a coach. ECB’s director and former cricketer, Andrew Strauss, is very positive of Bayliss’ selection.
