Dolphins lost by 1 run against Warriors

15th season of CSA T20 Challenge is going on which has started in 10th November, 2017 though it was about to start earlier as like before. It is a domestic T20 league competition in South Africa which used to stage according to double round robin format where total six franchise teams are competing for the title. In 22nd match of the tournament was staged between Dolphins and Warriors where Dolphins lost by 1 run against Warriors. The match was staged at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth in 3rd December, 2017 where Siphelele Gasa and Shaun George were the umpires. Earlier the match, Warriors won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 153 runs by losing eight wickets in 20 overs where Dolphins finished their innings with 152 runs. So, they were lost by just 1 run so far.

Dolphins and Warriors both franchise teams are passing very bad  season. Considering the point table, this two teams are holding last two positions where Warriors are in 6th and Dolphins is in 5th position so far. Warriors has played eight matches in the season and managed just two victories where Dolphins played seven matches and managed the once. Considering the run rate, Warriors is in 6th position.

Came to bat, before opening the run account Warriors lost their one opener who was also the captain of the team Smuts. He made golden duck out there. In 16 runs, they lost Ingram and in 25 runs, they lost their 3rd wicket so far. But in 4th wicket partnership between Jonker and Ackermann, Warriors added more than 80 runs so far when Ackermann was out with 37 runs. At the end of the crease, Jonker scored highest 59 runs so far. In the innings, just four players made their score to double figure. Rest players could not bring justice on their name. At the end of 20 overs, they scored 153 runs by losing total eight wickets so far. Shezi and Frylinck took highest three wickets for the team Dolphins.

However, Dolphins tried to make a good start while chasing the score. But in 15 runs, they lost opener Erwee. Unfortunately at the end of the crease MN van Wyk played well but his did not get best companions there. Top four wickets were gone in just 35 runs. In 5th wicket partnership between Wyk and Makhanya, they added few runs. Wyk scored highest 57 runs for the team. They were about to win but finally did not claim victory.
