The world celebrated the fiesta of Mother’s Day on Sunday. While most of the sons were providential enough to rejoice the occasion with their respective mothers, there were some cricketers who couldn’t be along for being on international duty. Here’s how cricketers wished their mothers on social media…

Virat Kohli

Indian vice-captain and currently captaining Team Bangalore at the Indian Premier League (IPL), Virat Kohli wished ‘happy mother’s day’ to his own mother along with all the mothers in the World via Twitter and a video recording on vine. The flamboyant batsman mentioned that his mother is his ‘pillar of strength.’ Virat lost his father few years ago and is emotionally close to his mamma dear.


Sachin Tendulkar

The Master Blaster posted the picture of his mother, Rajni Tendulkar, expressing his love for her. Sachin Tendulkar is a family man and he ensures to start every good thing with the blessings of his mother. In the tweet posted by him, he mentioned that ‘everyday is a mother’s day’ for him, expressing his gratitude towards what she has been doing for him. Well, behind every successful man there’s a women and the world clearly knows what roles Sachin’s mother has played for him in his sky-rocketing success.


Harbhajan Singh
