Chris Gayle: Australia will ‘Trash’ England to Win the Ashes

West Indies powerhouse Chris Gayle backed Australia to continue their domination over arch-rivals England when the two teams cross the swords in the Ashes 2015 that comprises of 5 Test matches.

While England have been going through a rough patch, Australia have hardly found their going tough. Gayle seems well aware of this, as he insists that hosts England have just a slender chance of surprising Australia.

“It will be slim,” Gayle told TalkSport, when inquired about England’s chances of winning at home. “They tend to play good cricket at home but coming up against the Aussies I think how they play the first Test will actually determine the series.

“The game of cricket is a funny game so you never know what will happen but I think at the moment most people have England as the underdog and Australia to trash them, but you never know.

“But I’ll go with the Aussies for sure, I think they will be the better team,” he concluded.

Both England and Australia are currently gearing up for the prestigious tournament. Whilst England drew a two-match Test series against hosts New Zealand recently, Australia commenced their preparations with an identical series against West Indies, the hosts.
