Chennai Super Kings qualified for IPL final

Chennai Super Kings was the underdog in the tournament of Indian Premier League this season. They have returned to the competition after two season. But, they have now proved themselves once again. This team Chennai Super Kings won the IPL title more than once and can be considered as one of the most experienced team in the tournament, In the ongoing season, Chennai Super Kings qualified for IPL final and moving towards the title very strongly. They were in luck against Sunrisers Hyderabad this time.

Chennai Super Kings qualified for IPL final

The teams Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings finished the group stage by holding the first two positions and so, they had to play qualifier round one. Winner of the team directly qualify for the final and also loser will get a chance.

So, the first qualifier round was executed yesterday and in the match, Chennai Super Kings beat Sunrisers Hyderabad easily.

It seems that against SRH, CSK was always better. Including the last match, Chennai Super Kings played total three matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad this season and in all three cases, they beat SRH. First two matches were executed in group stage and last match was hosted in qualifier round.

The match between them was the 57th match in the tournament which took place in 22nd May, 2018 at the neutral venue named Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Now, as the loser team Sunrisers Hyderabad have to play 2nd qualifier round which will be against the winner of eliminator round. Their opponent will be KKR or RR in that case.

Earlier in 1st qualifer round, CSK won the toss and decided to bow first. So, Sunrisers Hyderabad came to bat at the beginning. Top orders of them did not do well. Dhawan scored 0 runs, Goswami scored 12 runs and captain Williamson scored 24 runs so far. Just Pathan and Brathwaite a bit well where Brathwaite remained not out with 43 runs so far. In exchange for seven wickets team SRH scored 139 runs in 20 overs.

Opening partnership of CSK was also failed but in 2nd wicket partnership went well. Du Plessi and Raina did not hold much longer and also they started to lose wickets regularly. Plessis remained strong at the end of the crease. He alone led the team to victory. He left the ground with unbeaten 67 runs. In 19.1 overs team CSK scored 140 runs so far. They lost eight wickets so far. It seems that the match between them was so contesting.
