Cape Cobras won against Warriors

Cape Cobras is one of the most powerful and potential contender in CSA T20 Challenge which was formerly known as Ram Slam T20 Challenge. Now, the 15th season of the competition is going on and has almost crossed the middle position. In 16th number match of the season, Cape Cobras won against Warriors which was the sixth match of Cape Cobras. On the other side, Warriors is passing very hard time and hardly manage a victory in the season. Earlier their match, Cape Cobras won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 159 runs in 20 overs and the opponent Warriors failed to chase the score successfully and finished their innings with 149 runs.

However, came to bat by winning the toss Cape Cobras opened their innings with two great openers Hashim Amla and Temba Bavuma. Both of them played well and their opening partnership added 90 runs when Magala made a breakthrough. He took most precious wicket which was Hashim Amla but in the meantime Amla scored 52 runs. Later in 97 runs, Bavuma got out with 42 runs. JP Duminy and Qaasim Adams could not score well but other players did their jobs well. George Linde remained not out with 52 runs and Kyle Verreynne scored 2 runs so far. They just lost four wickets in 20 overs. Bowlers tried but were expensive. Andrew Birch took highest two wickets for Warriors where Smuts and Magala took one wicket each.

Now, came to chase the score Warriors started to lose their wickets since just 9 runs. Gihahn Cloete was out so early who scored just 2 runs. Smuts who was the skipper of team Warriors scored just 12 runs. He was out when team score was just 17. So, basically since then it seemed that they lost the control of the match which was gone to Cape Cobras. Bowlers bowled well and maintained proper line and length. But, by losing two wickets, Warriors turned around and in 3rd wicket partnership, they added more than 70 runs. Colin Ingram scored 38 runs and Colin Ackermann scored highest 55 runs for the team so far.Except the two players, no one could play with the ability. Last four players even could not score at least two figure runs so far. Finally in 20 overs, Warriors scored 149 runs by losing eight wickets. For Cape Cobras, Dane Paterson took highest three wickets so far.
