Australia got a dominating victory against Pakistan

Australia and Pakistan recently took part in tri nation series executed in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket arranged such big tournament at their home venue where along with Australia and Pakistan, local team Zimbabwe also took part. The total matches of the tournament were seven including the final. The tournament was T20I competition where Pakistan is holding as the first position considering ICC T20I ranking where Australia is couple of steps behind than them. But in their head to head battle in the tri nation series, Australia got a dominating victory against Pakistan.

Team Australia is not such strong as before. Their regular skipper Steve Smith was not in the squad along with couple of more players. Aaron Finch is the current T20I captain of Australia and he is still very experienced player in T20I format. So, under his guidance Aussie team did better against Pakistan. The 2nd match in the tournament which was between Pakistan and Australia took place in 2nd July, 2018 where earlier in the 1st July, 2018 team Pakistan played their first match. So, at Harare Sports Club, Harare the match between them took place. Australia won the toss and like the first match, they decided to bowl first. Shoaib Malik played for Pakistan in the match and became the first Pakistani players to play 100 T20I matches so far.

Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman started to play for the Green Shirts. In 0 runs opener Mohammad Hafeez was gone. Later, in 12 runs 2nd wicket was gone as well. Top orders of the team failed completely. Most of the players scored two figure runs but they did not play any longer innings there. Hussain scored 10 runs, Shoaib scored 13 runs, Asif scored 22 runs, Shadab scored highest 29 runs and Faheem scored 21 runs for the team Pakistan. They lost all wickets in 19.5 overs and in the meantime they scored 116 runs so far.

Aussie bowlers bowled well where Stanlake took highest four wickets and Tye took three wickets so far. Later, Australia came to chase 116 runs and it was very easy for the most powerful team. Openers added 35 runs where Short scored 15 runs so far. Later, skipper Finch and Head led the team to victory. Finch scored highest 68 runs and Head remained not out with 20 runs so far. Hasan Ali took the one wicket for Pakistan. In 10.5 overs team Australia made the chase successful.
