Cricket Australia is now play Ashes tournament and they are currently hosting the competition. So, they are the local team and due to that they are regarded as the favourite in the season of Ashes. After two years, the Ashes tournament has come again though it’s current title holder is England. But team England has already faced two matches defeat in the season. First two matches of the tournament are won by Australia and now, the 3rd Test is going on. The 3rd Test which is also called as Perth Test due to the hosting reason is started in 14th December, 2017 and at the end of the 3rd day of the 3rd Test, Australia finished 3rd by scoring 549 runs.

Ashes is still regarded as the most prestigious Test tournament in the cricket World which used to held once in every two years. This time Australia is hosting the event.

If we consider the success of the Ashes series, both England and Australia won the series 32nd times each and England is the defending trophy holder. So, equation says that Australia is going to win it in the season. To secure that cricket Australia already won first two matches of the series and there are still three matches left. So, to secure the title, they just need one more victory.

In Perth Test, team England won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 403 runs in their 1st innings by losing all wickets and Australia is still on the crease after the end of the 3rd day. They have scored already 549 runs by losing four wickets. Aussie captain Steve Smith is leading the match from the front and at the end of the day he is not out with his brilliant double century. He scored 229 runs. He companion Marsh scored 181 runs and remained not out. They will start to bat in 4th day and hopefully by adding some more runs, they will declare their 1st innings so far.

With 305 runs, England started their 2nd day of the Perth Test but due to lower order disaster, they lost rest wickets before the lunch break of the 2nd day. In 2nd day, they just did able to add 98 runs so far. Malan was their top scorer in the 1st innings who scored 140 runs and Bairstow was his partner who scored 119 runs so far. So, they got packet with 403 runs in 1st innings.
