Legendary Australia fast-bowler Glenn McGrath made a bold prediction by foreseeing that Australia will clean sweep England 5-0 at the prestigious Ashes 2015, which is scheduled to be held from July-August this year.

McGrath seems to have gained stimulation from the last year’s Ashes, where hosts Australia looked invincible as they thrashed top rivals England 5-0. So, a 10-0 whitewash on the cards? Well, McGrath thinks so!

“I am looking forward to the Ashes,” the 45-year-old told the Press Trust of India (PTI). “I had been predicting 5-0, but I have changed my prediction. I am now predicting 10-0 because Australia is already 5-0 up from the last tour.”

He further staged a valid explanation for his forecast. While Australia have been in their prime (World Cup 2015 winners), England have faced a contradicting fate in the recent past (failed to make the World Cup quarter-finals).

“The Australian team has been playing some exceptional cricket (while) England had their confidence knocked around from the World Cup,” he added.
