Dolphins won by 6 wickets

Dolphins and Knights are the two respective contenders in CSA T20 Challenge which was also known as Ram Slam T20 Challenge earlier. This two teams have participated in 15th season of the competition as two of the six participants. Among this two teams, Dolphins has the previous experience of touching the title of CSA T20 Challenge. They won the title once. And now they are in 2nd position on the point table where team Knights is in last position. In their last head to head meeting, Dolphins won by 6 wickets against Knights.

It was their 2nfd meeting where in the first head to head fight between them, the match was abandoned due to rain. But the second match was staged in 8th December, 2017 at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein. Earlier the match, Dolphins won the toss and decided to bowl first. Once again, rain affected the match and so, the overs were reduced to 17. So, Knights scored 168 runs by losing four wickets and in return Dolphins reached the destination in 16.3 overs. They also lost four wickets. Morne van Wyk was the highest scorer for Dolphins who scored 70 runs in 43 balls.

Knights opened their innings with Second and Kruger. Unfortunately in 9 runs, Kruger was gone by Maharaj with his individual 4 runs. Later, skipper Bruyn and Second made a little partnership and both scored two figure runs. Second was gone with 25 and Bruyn scored 20 runs so far. Miller and Petersen added few runs but finally Miller and McLaren finished the innings with remained not out. Miller scored 46 runs and McLaren scored 48 runs in 31 balls. So, in 17 overs, they scored 168 runs by losing four wickets. For Dolphins, Imran Tahir took two wickets highest.

On the other hand, Dolphin opened their innings with Erwee and Van Wyk. Erwee was out in just 14 runs but at the end of the crease Wyk stood strong. His companion used to change but he played well enough and led the team to victory. He scored 70 runs in 43 balls. He colored his innings with eight 4’s and one 6. His best companion was Vilas to the journey of victory. Vilas scored 51 runs in just 22 balls. He made six over boundaries out there but the finishing score was came by Frylinck. He with Wyk touched the victory and remained not out. In 16.3 overs, they crossed the given target by losing four wickets. Knights used five bowlers where four of them got one wicket each.
