Jarrell Miller threw down the gauntlet at Anthony Joshua during first press conference in New York on Tuesday. The heavyweight duo will clash at Madison Square Garden on June 1.

Miller was the first man to show up on the stage before Joshua was called upon. As soon as he did, he was brutally pushed by the former, forcing the security to keep them apart. Damn!

While that had no effect on Miller who continued with his trash-talking, Joshua stood calm for a while, gesturing his American counterpart to step ahead for the staredown.

No wonder, the melee continued for a bit as Joshua went into the crowd seeking Miller.

And when things finally settled, they started exchanging verbal jabs.

Joshua said: “He is a former drug abuser, he hits like a fairy, he is the softest puncher in the division.

“I pay his mum’s rent. He should bow down to me, I am his landlord. The only way he can win is a lucky punch. I am his landlord.

“I am not here trying to play a gangster role, I am here to collect rent. Jarrell Miller is a b***h.”

Miller said: “I slept on the floor for 18 years with no bed, I saw my mother go through s*** she should never have faced.

“In Belize I see my nieces and nephews going hungry with no shoes, this is bigger than Me, bigger than Anthony Joshua and bigger than money and boxing.

“People call me the underdog but that is fine because I was not born with a silver spoon.

“I am not afraid of death, I had guns in my face three times growing up, my grandma, who died when I was 13 is the only thing that has kept me going.”

Now this is one way to build up the fight, isn’t it?
