Australian Open boxers Tim Tsyzu and Joel Camilleri were forced to strip off during weigh-in to make the cut for their fight for the Australian super welterweight title, scheduled to be held in Sydney on Wednesday.

According to Yahoo Sports, both the boxers were 0.05 over the maximum limit of 69.85 kilograms. The duo then had no option but to take their inner-wears off, with promotional girls awkwardly holding the cover for them.

The old trick helped, with the duo coming in well under the limit, much to the appreciation of the crowd (click here to see video).

While Tsyzu (12-0, 10 KOs) might be a slight favourite to dethrone holder Camilleri (17-5, 8 KOs), the latter is unfazed by his opponent’s unbeaten run.

“I’ve been a pro since 2012 and a lot of people are saying ‘who is this Joel Camilleri? He’s a nobody’,” Camilleri was quoted as saying.

“I’m not a joke, I’m going to win this fight and defend my title. I believe that I’m going to be too strong, too experienced and I’m going to eventually stop Tim Tszyu.”

Tsyzu, meanwhile, wants his punches to do the further talking. “No more predictions man, lets just get in there and lets just fight,” he said.

“I’m sick and tired of ‘were going to do this, we’re going to do that…’ let’s just get in there.”
