Tyson Fury involved in war of words with Klitschko brothers

It’s no secret that Tyson Fury doesn’t share a good bond with either Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko. They are often in the news for trading verbal jibes at each other. And, they are at it again.

In a recent interview with BT Sport, Klitschko brothers questioned Fury’s future as the British star prepares to end his two-year absence later this month.

“Tyson Fury is the world champion of talking – trash talking,” said Vitali, who has been retired since 2012. “I wish him all the best but what he did was not good for boxing, is my personal opinion.”

Fury has long been calling out reigning unified world champion Anthony Joshua. And if the two ever trade punches, the latter is going to come up trumps, believes Vitali.

“Right now, Anthony Joshua is world champion. Very soon, Joshua will be a world star and after that a boxing legend,” said the 46-year-old, a former long-time WBC champion.

His brother Wladimir, who had lost to both Fury and Joshua in his last two matches before announcing his retirement last year, couldn’t agree more.

“I believe a full, complete, fighter is Anthony Joshua,” the former unified champion said. “He has been active, more active, and he’s got this talent of being strong and mobile.”

Fury was quick to show displeasure at the comments.

“Vitali, you say I’m the trash talking champion? Yes I am. And it worked against your brother,” the self-styled ‘Gypsy King’ said.

“[Wladimir] keeps talking Anthony Joshua up because he gave him a 50-50, talk me up, you couldn’t land a blow on me. Man up and tell the truth. Stop being a sore loser”

Fury fights Albanian Sefer Seferi in Manchester come June 9.
