In the 2nd match for the FIFA Confederations Cup on 19th June 2013 we had Italy vs Japan game which turned out to be quite a spectacle as Japan took the game to Italy and scored couple of goals in first half within first 30 minutes of the kickoff and they looked good value for the lead. They Italians came back strong with a goal just before the half time and couple more they added after the break.

Japan took the lead from the penalty spot as Honda stepped up and slotted the ball home in 21st Minute of the match, while Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagwa made it 2-0 on the night was a good turning left volley past the italian keeper and took the lead for Japan to 2-0 and it looked like they will go into the break with 2-0 lead but Daniel Da Rossi scored for Italy just before the halftime from a corner kick by Andrea Pirlo.
