Akhil Kumar, Jitender Kumar to headline February 10 boxing show in Delhi
Commonwealth Games gold medallist Akhil Kumar will headline professional boxing show in New Delhi, India, on February 10.
Akhil, an Asian Championship bronze medallist, made his professional debut in August last year when he put up a stunning performance to stop Australian Ty Gilchrist in the second round of their bout.
Akhil’s protégé Jitendar Kumar, who also kicked-off his career with a knockout win over Thailand’s Thanet Likhitkamporn last year, will also be seen in action.
Besides, super middleweight prospect Brijesh Kumar Meena (7-2), who stopped Ghana’s Isaac Paa Kwesi Ankrah in third round of their bout in December, is set to feature in his tenth bout.
Super welterweight Siddharth Varma (4-0) too will also look to extend his unbeaten run.
The fight night will also see some female boxers – Rashmi Gorh, Rupinder Kaur, Preeti Dahiya – in action.
The bouts will be televised live on Neo Sports for viewers in India.
