West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell has responded to his Indian counterpart Mohammed Shami mimicking his salute celebrations during a recent World Cup clash.

Cottrell was trapped lbw by India’s Yuzvendra Chahal and was walking back to the pavilion when Shami took a couple of steps and raised his arm, imitating what the West Indian would do after picking up a wicket each time.

Cottrell, however, showed he’s a champion not just on the field as he played down the incident while showing off his sense of humour.

“Great fun! Great bowling. Nakal Karna Hi Sabse Badi Chaploosi Hai [To imitate someone is the finest way of flattering],” the Jamaican Defence Force soldier wrote on his official Twitter account.

Meanwhile, India will assure themselves of a berth in the semi-finals if they beat hosts England on Sunday. As for West Indies, who are already out of contention, they play Sri Lanka on Monday.
