Winter Olympics is another huge multi competition event coming up in 2014, the winter games will be played through 7 Fabruary to 23 February in what should be a cracking month of sport. The Winter games in 2014 will held in Russia and the TV Channels which will be broadcasting the event live across the world are as follow.

Winter Olympics on NBC Sports in United States:

NBC Secured the rights for Olympic Games (Summer & Winter) untill 2020 and the 2014 Rights were values at around $775 Million. NBC SPorts will be offering live coverage of the games throughout the event while there will also be extended days highlights plus repeat telecast of live recordings.

United Kingdom TV Coverage:

BBC has the rights to show Olympic games till 2020 with an option to extend the contract, it was beleived that Sky Sports were in the running to get the rights for Winter Olympics but because of their pay tv scenario IOC decided to give rights to BBC.

Australia TV coverage on Net Work Ten:

In Australia the Winter Olympics are exclusive to “Network Ten” as none of the other big channels applied for bidding.

In canada CBC has bought the rights to air Winter Olympics 2014 and Summer Olympics 2016.
