It’s turning out to be a great time for top-ranked male tennis player Novak Djokovic. Not only did he oust 9-time champion and tournament favourite Rafael Nadal to storm into the semifinals of the prestigious French Open, but also became the first player to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals.

This tournament is annually held at the O2 Arena in London, and features 8 singles and doubles pairs respectively, who have finished on the top of the season with the ranking points coming into play.

Djokovic, who holds a commendable win-loss record of 41-2 this year, is on the peak of the table (6385 points), with second-ranked Andy Murray (3760) of Great Britain at almost half his points.

As soon as he learnt the news, Djokovic was an ecstatic man. The Serb was quoted as saying the following by the official ATP website: “I had a great start to 2015 so I am really happy to have qualified so early. I hope I will have a great finish to the year too; I love playing at The O2 and have had great results there.”

Interestingly, Djokovic has won this tournament four times, pulling off consecutive titles from 2012-‘14 (and ’08).
