Nick Kyrgios is often spotted wearing arm sleeves on court. So, when Novak Djokovic too joined the bandwagon, he felt like the Australian tennis player himself.

Djokovic, a former world No. 1 and a 12-time Grand Slam champion, made his comeback at the Kooyong Classic on Wednesday with an impressive 6-1 6-4 win over Dominic Thiem.

Apart from his dominating display, what caught the eye was the arm sleeve that the Serb wore on his just-heeled elbow that had kept him out of action since Wimbledon.

Speaking of the addition to his outfit – something that he has probably never sported ever before – Djokovic said he ‘felt’ like Kyrgios.

“It feels good. Feels like Kyrgios serving with the sleeve on. Now I know his secret,” the 30-year-old said during the courtside interview.

“I had that kind of match-play attitude. That’s what I needed – I wanted to play the opening week of the season and my elbow didn’t permit me to,” added Djokovic, who will now compete at next week’s Australian Open.
