Roger Federer is known to silence his opponents on court. But, the domination of the Swiss maestro has been such that it has molded a similar stature of him off the court as well.

If Australian tennis player Sam Groth is to be believed, Federer has garnered so much respect that whenever he walks into a room, everything falls silent. “When he walks into a room, everything is just silent,” he said.

Like Federer, Groth is also scheduled to kick-off his 2016 season at the Brisbane International. And the local hope considers Federer an attraction for every tournament.

“Of course it’s great having the Roger Federer in this tournament. He’s a figure that any tournament would want to have and that we respect a lot,” he added.

Meanwhile, the top-seeded Federer has received first-round bye, while Groth has been slated to lock horns with Korea’s Hyeon Chung in the tournament opener.
