While racquet-smashing has become a regular sight in the world of tennis these days, the vogue witnessed a new way execution.

Australia’s Sam Groth is known for his big serve and herculean power. On Tuesday, however, his racquet was at the receiving end as he insanely crushed it into two pieces at the Wimbledon Championships.

Groth, alongside Swedish partner Robert Lindstedt, ushered his anger on the poor racquet after suffering a 7-5 3-6 7-6 6-3 loss to the top-seeded French duo of Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the third round of the men’s doubles event.

The 28-year-old Groth had also bowed out of the singles event following a straight-set defeat at the hands of Japan’s Kei Nishikori in the opening round.

The Wimbledon is now officially over for Groth, having kicked the bucket mercilessly.
