Tennis superstars Roger Federer and Andy Murray took their rivalry on the sand as they enjoyed a light-hearted game on a beach in Dubai, where the two are scheduled to take part in the ATP 500 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships that begins on Monday.

ATP World Tour reported that the match — played at the Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel with the Burj Al Arab in the backdrop ahead of the event’s 25th edition — was overseen by tournament director Salah Tahlak.

“It was good fun today playing on the beach, I’ve never done that and the sun came out for us so that was a good start to the day,” said Federer, who recently won his 18th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

“I enjoy coming to Dubai. I’ve played here a number of years. I feel refreshed and looking forward to competing again,” the Swiss added.

Besides Federer and the current World No. 1 Andy Murray, the draw also features the likes of three-time Major winner Stanislas Wawrinka among the others.
