The US Open semi-final clash between Novak Djokovic and Gael Monfils was perhaps the most entertaining match in recent times.

The battle saw Djokovic race ahead initially before Monfils exhibited some distinctive tactics to claw his way back into the match. It was, however, the former who managed a 6-3 6-2 3-6 6-2 victory that saw him set up a title-clash with Stanislas Wawrinka.

Djokovic opened up a 5-0 lead in the first set, but Monfils fought back to reel off three games in a row. Perturbed by this, the Serb ripped apart his t-shirt in anger.

Monfils also did his part of activity, performing a SABR (Sneak Attack By Roger) – an intruding return shot, believed to have been invented by Roger Federer.
