Fabio Fognini is never shy to indulge in an exchange; be it his opponent or the chair umpire. This time, though, it appeared to be a group of spectators.

During his second-round match against Leonardo Mayer of Argentina at the Australian Open on Thursday, Fognini was apparently disturbed by someone from the crowd.

And he decided to give it back after winning one point, gesturing, as if saying, ‘What were you saying?’

Fognini backed his reaction by going to to pull off 7-6 6-3 7-6 win. And after the customary handshake, he decided to troll back the teasing group again by sticking his tongue out and flapping his palm.

Meanwhile, the 12th seed is scheduled to take on 23th seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in the third round on Saturday.
