WATCH: Alexander Zverev’s brutal racket-smash frightens ballkid at Australian Open

Alexander Zverev was totally different than he usually is on Monday.

He did not impress the spectators with his tennis skills, nor did he carry himself the way he otherwise does.

The 21-year-old looked completely out of sorts – especially in the first two sets – as he was handed a 1-6 1-6 6-7 thrashing at the hands of in-form Canadian Milos Raonic in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Monday.

Naturally, he lost his temper en route, smashing his rackets on more than one occasion.

There, however, was one meltdown that stood out of the rest.

Not once, not twice or thrice, but he smashed his racket nine times on the floor, forcing chair umpire Carlos Ramos to quickly serve up a warning.

No wonder, a ballkid standing not too far away was terrified for a bit before the proceedings resumed.
