WATCH: Alexander Zverev dismantles his racket as he crashed out of Australian Open

Alexander Zverev had a disappointing day in the office as he crashed out of the Australian Open following a five-set loss to Hyeon Chung on Saturday.

The fourth-seeded German contender was handed a 5-7 7-6 2-6 6-3 6-0 loss by the Korean prospect in an intense battle that went on for three hours and 22 minutes on Rod Laver Arena.

The disappointment of being outplayed was quiet evident on Zverev’s face as dismantled his racket en route his ouster. First, the 21-year-old banged his racket hard on to the court before crushing it with his leg.

This is not the first time Zverev has vent his anger on the poor strings. At the same tournament last year, he knocked his racket down – albeit en route a win.

Besides, he was also in the news for similar reasons at the China Open in Beijing, where he had brutally demolished his racket on multiple occasions.
