French tennis player Gael Monfils had a disappointing day in the office as he bowed out of the Australian Open 2016 after a quarter-final defeat to Milos Raonic of Canada. Little did go right for Monfils on court, who accidently hit one at the chair umpire.

It happened so during the second set of the match when Monfils failed to return a serve from Raonic, and erroneously directed it towards the chair umpire, who was quick enough to dodge it off with his hand.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Monfils went down 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-4 to the higher-ranked Raonic in an intense quarter-final battle that lasted two hours and 17 minutes. As for Raonic, he’s scheduled to meet 2nd seed Andy Murray in the semi-final.
