Alexander Zverev continued his splendid run on clay as he clinched his 12th consecutive win following a 6-4 3-6 6-3 win over Belgium’s David Goffin in the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters.

And following the one-hour and 47-minute encounter, Zverev served up a nice gesture by giving away his racket to a very special person: Francesco Totti.

The former Italian footballer, who played all his career for Roma, was in attendance along with his family.

Zverev and Totti exchanged pats as the latter’s son couldn’t hold back his excitement, waving at the German star before getting a handshake from him.

This comes just days after Totti crossed paths with Ukrainian star Elina Svitolina during a football match.

Meanwhile, Zverev will look to continue the purple patch when he crosses the swords with Croatian veteran Marin Cilic in the last-four stage on Saturday.

The winner will then face the winner of the other blockbuster semi-final between Rafael Nadal of Spain and Novak Djokovic of Serbia.
