Tennis Rankings: Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams Continue to Reign Supreme

World No. 1s Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams continue to remain atop the men’s and women’s rankings respectively, as per the official release on Monday.

Djokovic, who has won three tournaments in a row including his recent triumph at the Monte Carlo Masters, has concreted his place on the pinnacle of the list with 13,845 points, over 5,000 points more the 2nd-ranked Roger Federer (8,635).

Great Britain’s Andy Murray (6,120) is at the 3rd position, while Spain’s Rafael Nadal (5,390) and Japan’s Kei Nishikori (5,280) complete the top 5 line up.

Akin to Djokovic, Williams is also seated comfortably at the core of women’s rankings. With 9,981 points in her kitty, the American powerhouse enjoys a lead of over 2,000 points to No. 2 Simona Halep of Romania (7,755).

Russia superstar Maria Sharapova (7,525) follows closely at the 3rd spot, whilst Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova and Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark occupy the 4th and the 5th spot respectively.
