Roger Federer may have articulated his desire to feature in all the events at the next year’s Rio Olympics – including collaboration with fellow Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka for the men’s doubles – but the latter is still unsure over the possible alliance.

Having pulled off the gold medal at 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Federer-Wawrinka duo is considered to be one of the most formidable players in the doubles circuit. However, they have not yet corroborated with each other upon joining forces for the sport’s mega event, divulges Wawrinka.

“I don’t want to hurry to [make] a decision because you’ve to put together many things like seeing if you’re healthy,” Wawrinka was quoted as saying by “I don’t know if I’ll play it (doubles). I may be playing only singles.”

Earlier, it was confirmed that Federer will be partnering Martina Hingis for the mixed doubles event, thereby casting doubts on Wawrinka’s participation in the same event.
