French Open leaves some controversies behind in all its seasons. This time around, we saw a rare on-field altercation between two top players – Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka. The battle that took place Saturday here was full of action along with a tinge of drama.

Top-seeded Williams rallied from a set down to topple former World No. 1 Azarenka, 3-6 6-4 6-2. However, during the end of the second set, an argument erupted between the two players.

The cause of the dispute was a result of a controversial call taken on Serena’s set point by the chair umpire. Subsequently, the spectators witnessed a war of words, as both the opponents made frustrating gestures briefly. The Belarusian simply snubbed away Williams’ clarification on call.

However, the dispute wasn’t confined only till the umpire’s call. Williams, however, appeared cool about the whole issue when the topic was pushed back by the reporters in the post-match press conference.

Check out what she had to say about it.
