It was a pure moment of joy for Serena Williams at the Wimbledon Championships on Thursday as she reached her ninth final here following a 6-2 6-0 demolition of Russia’s Elena Vesnina.

What eclipsed the win was Williams’s dominance on serve during the match. The American powerhouse fired as many as 11 aces during the 48-minute battle, one of which – at 198 kmph – turned out to be the fastest serve by a female at the All England Club, according to

The blow was even more powerful than some of her male counterparts’ fastest serves, including the likes of World No. 1 Novak Djokovic (who clocked his quickest at 196 kmph), Kei Nishikori (196) and David Ferrer (188), the report adds.

Williams could potentially break her own record when she takes the court against Angelique Kerber in the summit clash on Saturday. No wonder, the girl’s got some power!
