19-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams can add on to her tally to break Margaret Court’s record of 24 majors, believes former World No. 1 Martina Navratilova.

Navratilova, an 18-time winner herself, believes that the modern day fast tennis acts as a catalyst in Williams’ quest to become the player with most Slams in the history of the sport.

“It’s possible, given the way she plays,” Navratilova told The Independent. “It’s fast tennis. She doesn’t have to grind it out: big serves, big returns.”

Williams, 33, has arguably been the best of the lot in the recent years, winning at least one Grand Slam crown in a calendar year since 2012.

And Navratilova insists that if the American powerhouse continues such kind of dominance, then she will be better than ever.

“The trick for players is to get into the point with her. If anyone can do it, it will be her, with her technique and her physique and her mental ability and drive.”
