Seeds Ernests Gulbis, Bautista Agut Out of Heineken Open

The Heineken Open 2015 on Wednesday saw three seeds tumble out of the second round of the ATP 250 tournament in Auckland.

While 2nd seed Ernests Gulbis of Latvia suffered a stunning 2-6, 6-3, 1-6 defeat from the hands of Czech qualifier Jiri Vesely, 3rd seed Roberto Bautista Agut retired after losing the first set against Adrian Mannarino.

Besides, 9th-seeded Taiwanese Yen-Hsun Lu also got trapped by the upset bug, going down to Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas 2-6, 4-6 in the round of 16.
