Nick Kyrgios kept controversies at bay during his 7-5 6-3 win over Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan in the second round of the Miami Open on Friday.

But can a Kyrgios match be plain and simple? No. He perhaps realized that.

While struggling early on in the first set, the Australia apparently thought he would go on to lose the match as he hilariously plucked his phone out mid-match and pretended to book the flight ticket back home (see video below).

The 23-year-old, however, looked absolutely clinical from there on as he went on win in straight sets and set up a third-round date with Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic.

“I know he’s a player who tries to keep things on his own terms… kind of reminds me of me a little bit,” Kyrgios later told ATP World Tour.

Before coming up with the word discipline, to his amusement of course.

“He just needs to play those bigger points with a little more discipline. Strange me saying that,” he joked.
