A few days ago, Novak Djokovic’s coach Boris Becker made a contentious statement by claiming that the relationship between his ward and Roger Federer is not good.

But, this seems to have not gone down well with the Federer, who insists that Becker should not be chatting so much about the personal bond between the two players.

“Becker really has no idea. He should know me well enough to know that I am a relaxed guy,” the 17-time Grand Slam champion was quoted as saying by Mirror.

“It is always dangerous when you are talking a lot. Sometimes you say things you should not. Of course I didn’t like what he said. After all, he was once my idol.”

The 33-year-old further revealed that although he had certain issues with Djokovic’s on-court manner initially, he has no problems with him now.

“It is well known that I initially had problems with Novak’s manner on court but now he behaves wonderfully and fairly. I have no problem with Novak.”

Controversies apart, both Federer and Djokovic are currently full of activity gearing up for the prestigious Wimbledon Championships which is scheduled to kick-off on June 29.

While the Swiss is trying his luck in Halle this week, the top-ranked Serb is slated to compete at the Boodles Challenge next week.
