The Monday’s (May 30) play at the Roland Garros has been officially called off due to heavy downpour without a single match being played.

Subsequently, the likes of Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, David Ferrer, and Simona Halep – who were originally scheduled to take the stage on Monday – have now been rescheduled to play their respective matches on Tuesday.

This is not the first time that the rain caused inconvenience at the season’s second major, with showers delaying and postponing quite a few matches in the tournament’s first week as well.

Much to the dismay of the players and fans, none of the courts at Roland Garros boasts of a roof. The officials, however, announced that the tickets will be reimbursed.
