Rafael Nadal to Return to Old Racquet Strings at Indian Wells

In his quest to recapture the long absconding form, 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has decided to swap his present racquet strings with the ones he used to employ before.

The Spaniard has had a huge dip in his form which is evident from the fact that he lost as many as 20 matches in 2015 alone for the first time in his career since 2003.

This made him opt for a change in his racquet strings at the outset of 2016. Much to his dismay, however, the southpaw went through a similar chapter this time around, which seems to have compelled a change yet again.

Nadal, 29, possesses a substandard 9-4 record in 2016, which includes a shock first-round exit from the Australian Open. He will return to his old strings at this week’s Indian Wells Masters.

Seeded fourth for the tournament, the Spaniard has bye in the first round.
