In the latest rankings released by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Rafael Nadal has dropped to his lowest position in the last 10 years. The Spaniard, following his defeat to Andy Murray in the title-clash of the Madrid Masters, plunged from the 4th spot to 7th position.

Meanwhile, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic continued to reign supreme, as he enjoys a massive lead over second-ranked Swiss Roger Federer. The latter is followed by Andy Murray, who lately pulled off his second clay-court crown in Madrid. He, now, lays just one position below his career-best rank.

Here are the top 10 ATP singles rankings:

Rankings Player
1 Novak Djokovic
2 Roger Federer
3 Andy Murray
4 Milos Raonic
5 Tomas Berdych
6 Kei Nishikori
7 Rafael Nadal
8 David Ferrer
9 Stan Wawrinka
10 Marin Cilic

In the Women’s Tennis Rankings, American Serena Williams continued to hold on to the top spot with 10,156 points in her kitty – over 3000 points more than Romanian Simon Halep, who is second to the former.

Besides, Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova – who clinched the women’s title at the Mutua Madrid Open – rose to occupy the 3rd position in the list.
