Two of the world’s best singles players in the men’s circuit – Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic – made a rare doubles appearance at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2015 in Doha on Monday, and yet managed to clear the first round hurdle with their respective partners.

Nadal paired up with Argentine Juan Monaco to make light work of Simone Bolelli and Leonardo Mayer 6-3, 6-3 in the battle that lasted exactly an hour.

Meanwhile, Djokovic and compatriot Filip Krajinovic got the better of Malek Jaziri and Jabor Mohammed Ali Mutawa 6-1, 6-4 in just 53 minutes.
