Moving on, Nadal and Carreno Busta are scheduled to lock horns with local wildcards Mao-Xin Gong and Ze Zhang, who ousted the formidable American twosome of Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey3-6 6-3 10-4 in the other opening-round tussle.

Nadal, seeded second, is also scheduled to get his singles campaign underway on Tuesday. He meets Italian Pablo Lorenzi in the first round.
