World No.1 Novak Djokovic has had some grueling rivalries in his career. Be it Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal or Andy Murray, Djokovic has always found it arduous playing against his top adversaries.

But, who has been his biggest rival? “Rafael Nadal” says the fancied Serb.

“He (Nadal) is a great champion on and off the court and he’s someone who fights for what he achieves,” Sports Mole quoted Djokovic, who trails the head-to-head record by 23-19 against his Spanish foe.

“He deserves that, I’ve played more than 40 times against him on many different occasions and he’s probably the biggest rival I have had in my life,” he continued further.

“I enjoy our matches and I enjoy the challenge when I face him on court, especially on clay, because it’s the ultimate challenge.”

Both Djokovic and Nadal are currently in Abu Dhabi for Mubadala World Tennis Championship. The duo is scheduled to open their respective campaigns at the exhibition tournament on Friday.
