Andy Murray narrowly escaped a disqualification scare after he kicked a tennis ball in frustration that just about hit the chair umpire at the Cincinnati Masters on Saturday.

It happened so during his semi-final encounter against Milos Raonic when – after losing a point – the top-seeded Murray kicked the ball in frustration that flew towards the umpire. Fortunately, however, he managed to dodge it just in time, before wearing a disenchanted look.

Had the fluffy stuff come in contact with the umpire’s face, Murray could have been debarred from the tournament.

The Brit, however, didn’t let this affect his performance as he pulled off a straight-set 6-3 6-3 conquest of his fourth-seeded Canadian counterpart after gridding it out for 90 minutes on Center Court.

Moving on, he is slated to lock horns with Croatia’s Marin Cilic, the No. 12 seed, in the Sunday’s summit clash.
