It turned out to be a disappointing day in the office for Alexander Zverev at the ATP Finals in London on Thursday.

The German world No. 3 was handed a stunning 6-7 6-4 6-1 defeat by American Jack Sock in what was a virtual quarter-final, thereby bringing his season to an end.

That’s not all. Zverev also had an awkward moment during the grueling battle.

It happened at 3-3 in the first set, when Zverev lost his balance while unleashing a forehand and eventually fell on to the court.

And despite doing well to quickly get back to his feet, he went on to lose the point.

This is not the first time Zverev has taken a tumble on court. At the French Open 2016, something similar had happened when he approached the net to hit a backhand return.
