World No. 1 Novak Djokovic pulled off his third consecutive Masters title of the season after clinching the Monte Carlo Masters title in Monaco on Sunday.

The top-seeded Serb overcame his stiffest challenge of the tournament to edge past Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych 7-5 4-6 6-3 in the a grueling title-clash that lasted for 2 hours and 42 minutes.

Meanwhile, the top-ranked Americans Bob Bryan/Mike Bryan defeated Italians Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli 7-6 6-1 in the doubles final.


Little did anybody know about 130th-ranked Brazilian Teliana Pereira until last week. But, the 26-year-old turned the tables around by clinching the WTA International Claro Open Colsanitas In Bogota – her first title on the women’s tour.

After stunning top seed Elina Svitolina in the semifinal, Pereira pulled off yet another upset win, toppling 5th seed Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan 7-6 6-1 in the summit clash.
